October 4, 1985 — Of all sports volleyball was the worst to photograph as low light and bad angles made action pictures difficult to get. This picture from what must have been the provincial high school volleyball championships at UBC was a gift. Mission High School was playing Prince George and just before the end of the game Curtis Stevens, one of the players the sports department especially wanted me to photograph, twisted his ankle. After the game while lying on the floor receiving treatment from his trainer the Prince George team game by to shake hands with him.
