1970’s — In the 1970’s Deep Cove had a dozen or so people living aboard boats. As the houses in the area became more expensive residents had bylaws passed forcing them to leave. Most people don’t remember that until recently Deep Cove was considered one of the worst places to live in greater Vancouver. In the winter the sun appeared over the mountains only briefly if it wasn’t raining and it was almost always raining.
