1970’s — Mike Garnett, Barney Vance, Steve McKinney and Greg Eastwood of West Vancouver built this 18 foot long raft held afloat by 10 oil drums. They were planning to sail it to Savory Island from Strachan Creek once a motor and sail were installed. The trip was expected to take 3 days.
