January 26th, 1974 — Every once in a while for Chinese New Year in Vancouver this large dragon was taken into the streets for the celebration. I’m not sure why it was seldom used but I think because it required a large number of people to make it operate and it was hard work, needing a couple of shifts of young men, all having to be trained.
