1977 — Glen Mackenzie on full opposite lock exiting turn three followed by Kevin Nelson and Ralph Oakes at the back. Number 77 should be Bob Huston but it isn’t and I don’t recognize who’s driving Bob’s kart. Glen Mackenzie came to karting from racing motorcycles and won almost every sprint race he entered at Westwood. These two pictures illustrate why sprint racing had such appeal; opposite lock and wheel to wheel, bumper to bumper.
